  • 1 cup Strawberries chopped
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Cornflour
  • ยฝ cup Water (or as needed)

For the Caramelized Toast:

  • 4 tbsp Butter
  • โ…“ cup Brown sugar
  • 3 Eggs
  • ยฝ cup Milk
  • ยผ cup Cream
  • 1 tsp Vanilla essence
  • 1 tbsp Caster sugar
  • 6 Slices Bread

Instructions
 

Make the Strawberry Sauce:

  • In a saucepan, combine strawberries, sugar, lemon juice, cornflour, and water.

  • Remove from heat and let it cool. Your fresh strawberry sauce is ready!

Make the Caramel Butter:

  • In a small bowl, add margarine and brown sugar. Let it sit at room temperature until soft, then mix until smooth and creamy. Set aside.

Prepare the Egg Mixture:

  • In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, vanilla essence, a pinch of pink salt, and caster sugar until well combined. Set aside.

Assemble the French Toast:

  • Trim the edges of the bread slices for a neat look.
  • Spread a generous layer of the brown sugar mixture on one slice of bread, then place another slice on top to make a sandwich.
