For the Chicken
- ½ kg Chicken cut into small cubes
- 1 tsp Black pepper
- 1 tsp Crushed pepper
- 1 tsp Salt (to taste)
- 1 tsp Soy sauce
- 1 tsp Green chili crushed
- 1 tsp Garlic Paste
For the Potatoes
- 3 Medium Potatoes cut rounds
- 1½ tsp Salt
For the White Sauce
- 1 tbsp Butter
- 1 tbsp All-purpose flour
- 2 cup Milk
- ½ tsp Black Pepper
For Layering
- ½ Tin Cream-style sweet corn
- Oregano (to taste)
- Mozzarella cheese, Grated (to taste)
Prepare the Chicken
In a large skillet or frying pan, heat the cooking oil over medium-high heat.Once the oil is hot, add the garlic paste and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Be careful not to burn it.Add the chicken cubes and all the ingredient.
Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is done
Make the White Sauce
In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and sauté for 30 seconds.Gradually whisk in the milk, ensuring there are no lumps. Continue stirring until the sauce thickens.
Add ½ tsp black pepper, mix well, and remove from heat.
Assemble the Casserole
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).In a pirex, layer the ingredients as follows:First Layer: Arrange the boiled potato rounds.Second Layer: Spread the cream-style sweet corn evenly over the potatoes.Third Layer: Add the cooked chicken mixture.Fourth Layer: Pour the white sauce over the chicken.Final Touch: Sprinkle oregano and top with grated mozzarella cheese.
